8/1/10:

The results from the June and July pulls are now posted.  The points will be up soon, keep checking back.  Our next club event is not until October, but our club and members are actively involved in upcoming fairs.

6/28/10:

So you may have noticed a long break in the action on the Website.  I recently bought a house, have been busy moving, and been without internet for about 2 weeks, leaving the website updates lacking.  I have received the results from the last speed pull.  I hope to get them posted before the end of the week and also get the points updated before the pull this weekend so everyone knows where they stand going into this Saturdays pull.  Check back later in the week for updates.

Also, don't forget that the Jackpot Classes this Saturday Night will be D1 and D2 8700# classes.  Same rules apply as all the other jackpot classes we have had.  Hope to see you at the pull.

6/9/10:

There were 118 Hooks on Sunday.  Things went pretty well (once we got started, rain held us up).  We would like to thank the Waterford Township guys for grading the track for us.  The next pull will be Heavy to Light on July 3rd.  We will be having a D1 and D2 8700# Jackpot class.  Check back later in the week for the results from this weekends pull.  Also, at last weeks monthly meeting, only 4 members attended.  During the meeting it was voted to cancel the July, August, and September meetings.  Regular monthly meetings will resume in October.  Also the tug pull that was scheduled for this previous Saturday that got rained out has been re-scheduled for July 3rd in conjunction with they speed pull.

6/6/10:

The pull today is being held.  The sun is shining and there is a grader on the track right now working it up.  The goal is to start at 1:00 pm.  Please spread the word.

6/5/10:

Tonight's pull was cancelled.  It began to rain just before the start of the pull.  The pull will be held tomorrow, Sunday June 6th starting at 11:00 a.m.  Please spread the word.

6/1/2010:

Our monthly meeting will be held this Thursday, June 3rd at 7:00 pm at the Waterford Community Fairgrounds.  Also, this Saturday, June 5th, will mark our first night pull of the season.  It will begin at 5:00 pm and the classes will go from Light to Heavy.  We will also be having a tug pull that night too.  The tug pull goes from the 5500# class to 8500#.  If there are more interest in other tug pull classes accommodations may be made.  Just as a reminder this is the Wayne Lane Memorial Pull, in honor of Wayne Lane, a former club member who is now deceased.  We will be having two jackpot classes.  They will be Division 1 and Division 2 4850# Classes.  Both Classes will guarantee $150 to the winner if 10 participants sign up.  Spread the word about the pull and be sure to check back here for results and pictures.  I also plan to put the points together after this pull so check back for that.  Also, if anyone at the pull takes pictures please forward them to me at ericeichmiller@gmail.com.  See you at the pull!

Our next pull is Saturday, June 5th.  We are having the pull in honor of Wayne Lane, a former member of our club who is now deceased.  There will be a speed pull and tug pull.  It is the first night pull of the year and it will begin at 5 pm. It will be from light to heavy.  We will be having two Jackpot Classes at this pull.  The Jackpot Classes will both be 4850 Pound Class division's 1 and 2.  Both classes will require 10 hooks to guarantee the $150 payout as in the past Jackpot Classes.  All other D1 and D2 rules apply. 3/7/2010:

There was a club meeting this week.  The 2010 Pulling Schedule was approved and has been added to the 2010 Calendar.  Also, the 2010 pulling dates are going to be sent to the insurance company so we can get a quote for the insurance costs of our 2010 pulling season.  There was a work party today at the fair grounds to work on the sled.  There was a pretty good turn out.  The bottom pan of the sled was removed.  Jason Lang took it home to his garage and he will be adding/repairing/replacing the wear plates on the bottom of the pan.  Other work was done to the sled to get it ready for the 2010 pulling season.

The decision was also made to have a Jackpot Class at some of the pulls this year including the first pull.  We will be having a Division II 6000 # Jackpot Class.  This class will Guarantee $150 to the winner (if at least 10 tractors sign up).  Class rules will follow our regular Division II rules.  In order to participate the driver must be a club member and the tractor must pull in at least one other class prior to entering the Jackpot Class.  $10 Entry Fee.  Please spread the word about the Jackpot class and new calendar.  If the Jackpot Class is a success it will be continued in the future.  We will continue to vary the classes, both divisions and weights, throughout the season if they continue to be successful that way everyone can participate.

I believe a tentative Waterford FFA Pulling date is set for June 19th.  Once confirmed I will get more info on here about it.  If anyone has more information (Date and flier) please pass it along to me.  email is best.
