Rules for 2008
Agreement
For liability reasons you must be a member of CCATA to pull. CCATA is not responsible for accidents or injury. All contestants, tractor owners, or participants, in any manner enter the contest at their own personal and property liability risk. Any problems or complaints will be settled by officers and trustees present at any pull. Tech check decisions are final.
Contestants Entry
One driver per class unless there are less than 15, then 2 drivers will be permitted to pull. Drivers must be at least 16 years of age or have written consent from parent or guardian, with adult supervision present.
Behavior
Pulling tractors and all equipment must be operated and handled in a safe manner at all times on the grounds. There will be no riders on tractors except for driver. No alcoholic beverages will be permitted anywhere on the grounds.
Tractors
Tractors must be 1957 or older. No four wheel drive, homemade tractors, blowers, turbochargers, alcohol or nitrous oxide fuel will be permitted. Tractors must have stock sheet metal, frame, transmission, rear end axle housing, stock block, or replacement block with same number of cylinders and be dimensionally correct ( outside dimension) for that model of tractor, Ό" plus or minus will be permitted for height of block. Category A & B tractors must have stock head, manifold, carburetor and working PTO. Diesel tractors may use any agricultural injection pump. Tractors will be allowed 20% over factory max. RPMs. Category A & B tractors are subject to Dyno checks and must run between factory max and 20% over on RPMs. Tractors must have working air cleaner, hood and grill in place and have stock appearance. Must have positive fuel stop, no vise grips or C clamps. Must have wheelie bars with 11" ground clearance and constructed to hold weight of tractor. Hitch must be ridge in all directions with a 3" hole Hitch height is 20" maximum. Minimum 18" from center of axle to hitch point. Tractors must have working brakes.
Tires
Maximum tire size for Category A is 16.9-38 no cut, sharpened or altered.
Category B & C are 18.4-38 may be cut any manner.
No steel wheels, chains, radial, tracks or duel wheel permitted.
Weights
Front weights cannot extend forward more than 11 feet from center of rear axle.
Rear weights cannot extent more than 6" past furthest part of rear tires.
Pulling
Operator must remain seated at all times during a pulling attempt. Start with tight chain, no jerking. All pulls will be made under green flag. Red flag means stop. If tractor stops be for the 75 mark will be allowed a second attempt. Category A & B must pull in 1st or 2nd gear. Tractor must stay in bounds at all times during the attempt. Any weights, parts or hardware that falls off while hooked to the sled will disqualify the tractor. Tractors must weigh out after a pull attempt.
Rules for points pull
Points will be awarded to the tractor. Points will be kept by club officer. If a tractor pulls twice in a class, the first time will be for the points. Ties will be broken by total distant. Five (5) points for hooking to sled and 10 for 1st, 9 for 2nd, etc. Must pull in a minimum of 3 points pulls to qualify for awards.
Awards
Awards for all CCATA pulls will be 40% payback.

Antique V8 Gas Rules
1 Tractor must be 1957 or older
2 - There will be no riders on tractors except for the driver.
3 Engines to be governed by a Rev Eliminator, with 3000 RPM or 5000RPM chip.
4 One carburetor
5 No superchargers or tubos permitted
6 Engine naturally aspirated no alcohol, or nitrous oxide fuel.
7 Maximum tire size 18.4-38, cuts approved, no radials.
8 No aluminum heads, blocks, etc...
9 Must have positive fuel stop.
10 Only 1 single engine allowed.
11 Engine, 517 cubic inch displacement, + 1 % Maximum. NO DIESELS.
Must be measured and sealed
12 Must have working air cleaner. Must be under hood.
13 Exhaust to be minimum of 1 ft. (12") above the hood.
14 3000 RPM tractors must have safety blankets or SFI approved flywheel.
15 5000 RPM tractors must have roll bar, SFI approved blanket or SFI approved flywheel, no cast iron flywheels.
16 - 5000 RPM driver must have Helmet and Fireproof Jacket.
17 V8 drivers must be at least 15 ½ years of age with drivers permit and have written consent from parent or guardian, with adult supervision present until 18 years of age.
18 All tractors must have working brakes.
19 All tractors must have dead man throttle.
20 All tractors must have kill switch.
21 All tractors must have Wheelie Bars, separate from hitch.
22 Front weights cannot extend forward more than 12 ft. from the center of the rear axle. Rear weights cannot exceed 6 inches behind the furthest part of the rear tires.
23 Hitch must be rigid in all directions, with 3" hole and no restrictions at hitch point. Hitch height is 20" maximum.
24 Tractors must have plastic or electric fan..
25 All tractors must have fenders or seat belts.
26 No automatic, air shift, or down shifting transmissions during pull. Factory Torque is allowed.
27 Must have Stock Sheet Metal, Stock Wheel Base
28 Fabricated frames Allowed
29 Aluminum intake manifolds allowed
30 Rack and Pinion or Hydraulic steering allowed
31 Clutching the tractor ends the attempt
32 Tractors are subject to a tech check at any time
